Why can't the board be on USA time instead of GMT?
Just wondering.
Seeing posts already for 6/1/02 is kind of strange. SC

You can change the time/date you see, in the User CP options.

GMT aka Greenich Mean Time is universal worldwide. US does not have standard either just versions based upon Longitude from the O standard Meridian. At least 3 time zones in the lower 48 states. Many board members are even out of US. If we can change our display that is great its a simple subtraction problem for any of us and computer could do this very simply if webpage allows.

Thanks, Cheyenne, but the U.S. does have standard times, to wit,
Eastern Standard Time, Central Standard Time, etc. Yes, they are derived from GMT, but they are standardiized for the U.S. and it's territories by Congress: Sec. 260. - Congressional declaration of policy; adoption and observance of uniform standard of time; authority of Secretary of Transportation: It is the policy of the United States to promote the adoption and observance of uniform time within the standard time zones prescribed by sections 261 to 264 of this title, as modified by section 265 of this title. To this end the Secretary of Transportation is authorized and directed to foster and promote widespread and uniform adoption and observance of the same standard of time within and throughout each such standard time zone. Can we get back to discussing trucks now?
