Re: Drop Spindles

So I found out that it has a straight front axle so I'd need to get a drop axle. Any pics or threads of someone installing one? Do they just mount right up?

Re: Drop Spindles

perhaps a few pics and an explanation of what you have there may be in order. that way we won't be feeding you info on something irrelevant and we also won't have to ask so many questions.

That is a seriously good point.

First question should be do you have a 1/2 ton? or a bigger truck? Meaning how many bolts hold the wheels on?

That may seem silly but I am old and don't assume anything anymore.

Most of would either order a dropped axle from Sids or send our axle in and have it dropped. https://www.droppedaxles.com/ If we want the truck a bit lower than just what the axle will provide we go for lowering springs or having our springs reworked to provide a lower stance.

The one thing I do not suggest is removing leaves from the springs to lower the truck. The guys are so tired of seeing my messed up spring photo of my truck that I am not going to post it again.

Before and after. I used a Sid's 3" drop axle up front, 2" drop shakles and 3 or 4(can't remember) leaves removed from the rear.
