Does anyone make an affordable lowering leaf spring?

Looking to lower the rear of the 87 another 2" and replace my leaf springs as well since they ride so hard. I've seen the Ridetech but I'm not spending $800 on a composite mono spring.

how many leaf now ? and the over load bottom leaf is a given and never counted .

when listed for springs its like this 3+1 4+1 5+1 the plus 1 is the over load .

and are you running the overload bottom leaf ? do you plan to run heavy loads or just a cruiser ?

4 plus the overload. The only thing I noticed just now is the gap between the overload and the next leaf up is greater on the passenger side but my driveway is not level so that might the issue while it's parked.

Re: Does anyone make an affordable lowering leaf spring?

o.k. lots of trucks ran 3 leaf and if your never going to load it heavy try pulling the over load as they can be from 5/8" to 3/4" thick alone . then try the last leaf out of the pack .

now this is budget minded info to try. might not be your cup of tee per say .

otherwise i have not seen much in lowered leafs for these trucks my self .

how is the rear lowered at this point ? might be able to swap back to stock and do a flip kit to get the drop now plus the drop extra you want all in 1 .

If you decide to consider spending a little more money those mono leafs ride like a dream.

Moving the front spring mount up 2" will work. Reuse the stock bracket by removing the excess/ Use grade #8 hardware.

Re: Does anyone make an affordable lowering leaf spring?

Oh you may rebuild those stock leaves by grinding the ends to a round shape & line the pack w/teflon strips. THESE: https://www.bilstein.com/int/en/ Rob from NO LIMIT has a great thread on making these old trucks rid & handle: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=419251 Just some more options & information.
