Upper hatch supports

From a 72 suburban, my understanding the same as blazers. Work correctly with only small surface rust, no actual pitting, small wear mark shown
$80 for the pair shipped in the continental 48.

Re: Upper hatch supports

Hoping this worked out ok for the buyer but the Blazer struts are not the same as the suburban. Blazer are shorter. I have attached a picture showing the difference

Most women like the strong, silent type… Fortunately for me, my wife prefers the out-of-shape, mouthy type.

Re: Upper hatch supports

Well hell, I’m sure we will know soon enough then. Guess I should have said I’ve heard instead of I believe they are the same.

Re: Upper hatch supports

I'm not worried. Hopefully it just raises the hatch a little bit extra. I'll let you all know how it works out : )

The suburban/blazer upper lift gate supports are definitely different from one another, I just came across this thread tonight and figured that I could add a little more info to go along with richard's above post for others that may be searching in the future. The blazer/jimmy hatch supports are LH/RH specific and the suburban supports are not, they fit either side. The upper mounting brackets (circled in red/below pics) on the blazer supports are not flat like the sububans, they have a 90* formed bend on one edge and the mounting holes are slightly off center, the suburban mounting holes are centered.
