56 and 59 frame differences?

Any one know for sure if the 59 frame is a little longer up front? I’ve read they are the same and also that they are longer

Re: 56 and 59 frame differences?

567 are approximately 2" shorter than the 8,9's. The frame horns are where the added length is.
We're talking Chevrolet right? Because GMC's are not the same. Similar, but not the same.

Re: 56 and 59 frame differences?

8-9 frames are def longer out front and the rad support bracket is slightly forward. if using the 8-9 frame on an older truck it is an easy fix. if going the other way then you could easily add the extra. the rad support bracket is also easy to move.

Re: 56 and 59 frame differences?

The above answers assume a short bed .

The long bed has two length beds and chassis .
The 55.2 - 57 have a 7.5' bed and the 58-9 have a 8' bed.
