WTB: Speedwarning Part
I'm building a Speed warning dash for my C30. Down to one part MIA. I need the brass stud that will connect the buzzer and head. I know I can run a wire thru a grommet, but I like to keep it stock looking. LMK what you have, thanks D/

Re: WTB: Speedwarning Part
Believe it or not, I am still searching this for you Dave.
So far, nothing but still hopeful. I cannot justify a complete one to part out but if the price is right

Re: WTB: Speedwarning Part
Dave,
I have one in the basic tin w/o gauges. I would send you the tin. I think I would cut and tack weld it in? I can’t send pics until Friday. PM your email. John |

Re: WTB: Speedwarning Part
The few that I have changed over, I un-crimped from the inside, removed, bead blasted and then thread the stud that will be on the inside of the tin with a 6x32 die. Use a thick nylon washer, then a regular steel flat washer then 6x32 nut.
This makes it look stock from the outside and gets the wire through the tin without grounding. The clip on the speedometer side will still clip on the stud to complete the path. Hope this helps, Tom

Re: WTB: Speedwarning Part
Not sure where all or how you have been searching but as a possible future reference/parts source, we have sold/parted out several speed warning dash clusters and have a pretty good inventory of speed warning parts and also speed warning clusters. Here are some by the piece price examples: OE S/W speedo heads $250.-$300., OE S/W gauge tins $150., OE S/W needle adjustment cables $100., refurb S/W buzzers $100. w/non-working core, OE S/W dash bezels $75.-$100. Being that you are in the gauge/dash business and also here in Oregon, we could have something on hand that you are hunting for. Mel
