What are these holes?
Cleaning up around the inside of my cab on my 71 before I do the carpet kit and looked up and noticed these holes. The drive side has the plug out of the middle and the two little holes drilled out but the passenger doesn’t. What are these for? Or what could have been there on the driver side that wouldn’t be in the passenger?

mounting holes for shoulder seat belts. should be threaded already. Just pop the cap off.

The anchors were in all of the trucks but the shoulder harness was not standard. I believe it was an option. Both passenger and driver side have the anchors. -klb

They were a rare factory option. People spend crazy money on them like tow hooks, even though they're a pita to use. Sure they look cool, but they're functionality sucks. Not worth the money imo

Are they tied into the lap belt like a late model? My brother's '69 Chevelle had them held up by clips on the headliner. He always just used the lapbelts.

Below is a picture of factory shoulder belts I found in a '72 Blazer in my local junkyard. They cost me $10. The rear belts had been cut off at the base of the boots leaving the additional parts in the center of the picture. I plan to use these parts and some lap belts to make another set of shoulder belts.
