A Pillar Rain Gutter Delete

Folks:
Interested if there is any downside to removing the rain gutters that are spot welded to the A pillars on our trucks? Took mine off to address rust underneath while painting the door jambs. I like the look without them, but was wondering if there is any downside from those who have deleted?

Thanks,
Steve

Re: A Pillar Rain Gutter Delete

The first time you open your door after a rain, your knee gets wet. Other than that, removing the trim will leave the little studs/rivets where it attached, which will look a little out of place if they arent' removed.

Would probably reduce wind noise haha. I epoxy primed and reattached mine with panel adhesive to hopefully prevent future rusting.

Ditto I didn’t like the gaps and the alignment of the A pillar and the door glued it back
