Champion CC369 Fitment Question
Hey guys! So I purchased a Champion 3 row aluminum radiator which is the direct fit model CC369 after doing quite a bit of research here on the forums and the ole google. Whats going on is the radiator seems to sit a little high in the bottom mounting brackets. The top of the radiator does clear the front core support and makes the radiator sit at an angle. Is this normal? If not how did you guys get your radiator to fit? What are some tricks? Im looking to tap into some of that time on the job knowledge.
Please if you have any information or pictures or ideas anything would be more than greatly appreciated. I am a young buck looking to make his first build spot on! |

Re: Champion CC369 Fitment Question
I have the CC369 in my truck. I did modify the stock mounting brackets, but used stock rubber inserts to get the radiator to fit well. I ordered a couple of the smaller and larger sized mounting clips, and cut and welded them to fit the radiator better. Sadly, I didn't take any pictures of the clips as modified.

Re: Champion CC369 Fitment Question
So does your radiator fit under the lip that protrudes from the front core support? and is it straight up and down? Did you have to trim the rubber on the bottom brackets to have it sit lower?
Thanks for responding! |

Re: Champion CC369 Fitment Question
I'll try and get a couple of closer up pictures, but to answer your questions
1) It does not fit under the lip. It sets about 1/2 inch back from the core support at the top. 2) It is tilted slightly back toward the engine at the top - a couple of degrees only. 3) I bought aftermarket lower retainers and pads intended for an HD (4-row) radiator, so this one sets lower on the pad.
