Re: 2018 Silverado Crew Cab Z71

I like the color - looks better than the available red for suburbans. Mud flaps?

I just added a black dash mat to mine and have a bolt-in console safe on order.

Wow, that is a bummer. I love the blue of the 18's and I am "normally" a red or black color person. That blue I love.

Deadhead, looking to hear about the safe!

86 I normally like red and blue...don't get too hung up but was in LOVE with that blue, it was so awesome. Watch, they'll come back out with it in 2020 haha.

I wanted something to safely store valuables and a pistol when travelling. The Lockerdown products are extremely well reviewed and made in TX so chose one of them. It hopefully arrives this week. From what I know it's essentially a bolt-in add that uses the existing console screws to affix to the floor pan. I went with the base mechanical lock - not sure how the electronic lock would hold up in extreme cold and didn't want another key to fumble with.

Installed the safe last night. Process took less than ten minutes. There’s a hole to allow the existing light to illuminate the inside of the safe. The usb, 12v, and coax plugs are preserved not blocked. There’s some room to place items atop the safe with console door shut. The rotating lock mechanism can be left unlocked and this allows easy access to the inside but that can be quickly locked. The hinge is spring loaded and remains open when you want it to.

Re: 2018 Silverado Crew Cab Z71

Looks great. Again, I think that's a really nice shade of red - if it were available on Suburbans I'd have ordered it.

I'm pleased with the console safe. I installed a black dashmat that I'm happy with too. The weathertech floor liners I add were far superior to the stock z71 rubber floor mats and I'm happy with them also.

Did you add a lift to the '19?
