Trucks at the Sunnyside High school car show
One of the first outdoor events of the year in this area is the Sunnyside high School car show that is usually a fund raiser for the Sr class of the school in Sunnyside Wa
The event takes place on the School soccer field and is very well put on with food and other vendors along with an interesting mix of around 200 vehicles in the show. The quality of even the cars wasn't interested in was high with very few beaters in the event. Even the works in progress were pretty nice. Nice Cameo and the red first Gen 55 has been showing up at a lot of area events in the past year or so. They made a 70 something mile jaunt down to the show today.

Re: Trucks at the Sunnyside High school car show
I hadn't seen this blue 71/72 (I think) before but it was a nice but not over the top truck. I have always wanted a shortie of that body style and have had three of them that someone always offered more than I thought they were worth for.

Re: Trucks at the Sunnyside High school car show
There is just something about lifted black 4x4 trucks that spins my wheels.
The Maroon longbed was a new one to me that I hadn't seen before and a pretty nice truck.

Re: Trucks at the Sunnyside High school car show
The yellow one has been around for years and doesn't seem to change much an tan mid 60's belongs to a younger guy who seems to make improvements a bit at a time.
I know the coupe isn't a truck but it's on here for the nifty Wayne pieces and other trinkets on the six.

Re: Trucks at the Sunnyside High school car show
More of the engine in the coupe that sure would be sweet in an AD

Re: Trucks at the Sunnyside High school car show
This GMC was a new one to me also and it may be it's first show. Later style flatbed on the early truck makes me wonder but it's a great looking truck.

Re: Trucks at the Sunnyside High school car show
A few more shots of the GMC flatbed including the 250 engine. I tried to get some photos of the side mounts but they came out too dark.
I kept expecting to walk around to the other side and see a Pepsi logo on the door.

Re: Trucks at the Sunnyside High school car show
The Bagged was one of only about 5 out of 200 vehicles in the show that you could call a "patina" rig of any sort Maybe that is a sign of things to come and that fad is fading.

Re: Trucks at the Sunnyside High school car show
The two tone AD is a nice one.
The 37 Chevy rat rod bus drew a lot of attention from the kids. There were about five rat rods in the show but that is the only one I took a photo of.

Re: Trucks at the Sunnyside High school car show
One AD at the event had to work all day rather than play show and tell. It turned out some nice looking Pizzas though
