Where are they used? RockAuto.com carries a lot of light sockets and bulbs.

For the rear lights but the problem is the year since the truck is all over the place.

If you check the AC Delco catalog you can see pictures for all of the correct pigtails and harnesses you need. You enter the "gender" (male or female) and the number of "cavaties" and scroll through the pictures until you find the one you need. I have used this catalog several times to get the correct part number for the harness I needed. I then google searched the part number for the best price.

Click on "show sockets" for bulb socket/harness application you need.

Related question. Are these lamp sockets available in a re-pinnable version? It seems that any lamp sockets I see being sold are pigtails.

Truth be told, the wires might be molded in the sockets. I haven't examined them super close.
