AD chevy ls swap stock suspension
I have a 53 3100 chevy that is stock and missing a motor and trans. Id like to toss a 5.3/4l60e in it with stock steering and suspension. I know a 350 can fit with offsetting the steering box, offsetting the motor, or 265 manifolds. has anyone put an LS with stock manifolds in a 47-55 with stock steering and suspension? wondering if it fits any easier or same problems?
thanks!

Re: AD chevy ls swap stock suspension
I'm thinking that if you run a front mounted steering box (later model truck box) as a lot of guys are doing You can carry it off without a lot of hassle.
I found this page that has measurements but doesn't as far as I can tell show an outside to outside exhaust manifold measurement. http://bdturnkeyengines.com/engine-dimensions Looking through some pages it looks like there are a number of options to go with as far as stock cast manifolds go. That might help a tad.
