I removed my locking gas cap with a FORK !!
When I got my 64 C10, it had a locking gas cap, but no key !!
I needed to remove the cap to pump some fuel,. I posted my problem on this forum, but the only suggestions I received, were to remove the seat, and either remove the gas tank, or disconnect the rubber filltube. Either way, it's not a job I wanted to tackle. After a quick you tube search, I came across a video that showed someone removing the exact same gas cap, with a FORK !!! Anyway I tried, it and it worked in under 30 seconds. Here is a link to the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKbv5Xe4ELI |

Yeah, I used to have one of those too. Eventually it go to where I didn't need a key to remove it. It was like a standard cap except you had to know how to twist it just right.

Yep, my 66 locking cap doesn't have a key. Just twist and pull and it comes out.
