81 c10 a/c

Got a Buddy of my Dads who has an 81 C10, Originally a 305 V8 Not sure what it is now... Wants A/C Really bad but does NOT have the A/C Compressor, Lines & Brackets...

He has it at a shop right now & they've been looking for a couple of weeks How hard is it to find, & what Style is it, The Short Compressor or the Long ones...

I wouldn't know B/c I ONLY Do 5.7/6.2/6.5L Diesel.
Thanks.

Most are the short style compressors. I don't remember seeing any of the larger A6 on the 80s models. I got mine thru ebay, but the manifold and hoses do not come with it.

Try a pick & pull/junkyard see if you can find them. Never had the brackets on my V8 squares. My 6's are the only ones that came with AC from the factory

That'd be Slim Pickins usually all squares down here in Michigan are picked clean within a 1 week of arrival or so.
