Do you have a trans shop in the area?
They have capabilities of plugging into your trans and "telling" it what to do
They can tell what it is not doing!
The problem needs to be isolated, PCM, Wire harness. or trans
I just went through a "code" problem with my 4L60E and not fun!

In a previous post you indicated the transmission you are going to use "worked" in the donor vehicle, so if this is true how could the internal wiring harness be bad and you also stated you bench tested end to end.

Have you considered replacing the Vehicle speed sensor as mentioned in earlier post.

VSS is working or I wouldn't be getting MPH reading through OBD port as stated earlier

I've got gears, wires in plug were 180 out. Thanks to everyone that gave suggestions

the ol 180 out on the wires will do it every time....glad you got it fingered out...
