Ok, so staying with the sbc +700r would require a 2" move forward on the engine or driveline length adjustments..

So bolting the BBC to the 700 requires the same 2" move forward but should be no problem except the possibility of space between the engine and the radiator and at that point I will have to see how it goes, swp or lwp I will have to play all that by ear.
