56 GMC best front shocks?
I have a 56 GMC 150 and am looking for a good font shock. Stock truck. All I have found are Monroe 31000. Any other part numbers or brands that will work?

Re: 56 GMC best front shocks?
That is the decent stock daily driver replacement shock that works fine for most guys and if you were doing a full stock restoration would be ideal.
From experience the yellow Monroe Magnums are often too stiff for a lot of guys who aren't going to go off road or use their trucks hard. They are great on ranch trucks that run over dirt roads and across pastures though. Rock Auto shows a Gabriel Classic gas shock that might be worth checking out along with the Monroe and Delco shocks. https://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/...+absorber,7556
