59 Cab with a 55-57 front clip?
Need to know if a 55-57 clip will fit a 59 cab. A neighbor has a rust free 59 he got at the Auto Fair and wants to go with a 55-57 front. Any tips or comments. Thanks Weasel

Yep, it'll fit but need to use the grill & hood from the 55-57 with them.

I have seen it done, and it looked cool. A few years ago I saw a 58-59 fleetside with a 55-57 front clip. It took a minute to register what he had done, but I liked it

i believe the radiator mount is different too.........
the cabs from 55-59 are pretty much the same. the 55-57 fronts can be interswapped no prob, other than the unique 57 grille. the 58-59 fenders are different, of course, because they started the quad headlight configuration, but i believe the 58-59 hood will still swap, though it drops in the center unlike the 55-57. also, the 57 hood has dual raised strips on it.

The 55 - 57 front clips will bolt straight up to the 58 - 59. The hood hinges are in the same spot, but I believe one of the holes are off, so you may need to drill a hole. I have a 56 Viking front clip on my 58. Its about 4 inches wider then a stock 1/2 ton, 3/4 ton, 1 ton truck front clip. And has its own unique grill. Not sure about the regular 55 - 57 front clip radiator mounts, but I know the bigger trucks are different. Because I had to change mine. Basically every single part off a 55 - 59 will fit from one to the other.
