I assume your dome light no longer works without the fuse. Also, check your brake light and see if they work without the fuse. I'm no fuse box whizz-bang, but my thoughts are that the missing fuse protects the "Tail Stop and Dom" circuits...Brake lights and dome light.
Put a good fuse back in and see if your dome light stays on with the doors closed...if it does it could be the door switches sticking or grounding out, the light switch is turned to the dome light "on" potion or shorted out, or an exposed wire making ground. If the brake lights stay on then I would suspect the brake switch above the pedal. If they do NOT stay on then I would suspect an exposed wire making ground. That's how I would continue the troubleshooting exercise.

Re: Found the source of my battery drain, now how do I fix it?
U could tty this. I'm guessing u are working on this alone so....at nite or close to dark go to a place where the light is dim. Back up to a building where glass on the building, is facing the back of the truck and hit those brake lights. Check 2 see if all the lights are working. When u let off, if they stay on your brake light switch is bad. Its a simple fix if so. By using the glass off of a building, you will b able to see whats going on without having to rig something up and hope u get it right.if its shorted out, it will stay on or not work at all. But n short order you will know if that's it or not. Let us know how it turns out.

The rheostat in the light switch could be causing this. You would have to replace the light switch. It controls the dimming of the dash lights and all the way over to turn the dome light on.
