1968 c10 6 lug hub- weird question?
Hi fellas,
I was greasing my bearings today and noticed these nubs on my hub. they don't let the drum sit flush and actually dent the drum a bit. I might try grinding them off but i'm concerned it's the wrong hub and the drum won't ride on the shoes correctly. I suppose I could put a spacer in there if that happens. Any info? Thanks, Steve |

I'm having a hard time without a photo. All drums I know of are cast steel and won't dent. Help a friend help a friend by posting a photo...I'm real curious to what your describing.

The front drums are riveted to the hub from the factory. Those are the remains of the rivets. Grind them down. After you get them flush you might be able to drive them out with a hammer and chisel...
