Help with 2.5 lift for 1972 K20 Suburban 3/4 4x4
I’m looking to replace the springs on my 1972 K20 3/4 Suburban. All the parts suppliers only list K10 Suburban. Are 3/4 K20 truck lifts the same as the suburban? Does anyone have a link to a kit with springs and shocks that will work on my Suburban? Thank you.

2" Tuff Country EZ Ride. I had to add an inch block in the rear to level it out. The ride is very firm to harsh even with their premium shocks.

K10 and K20 use the same front springs. Factory was either 2 leaf standard or 3 leaf heavy duty.
Rear springs i dont know for sure but i think K10 and K20 are the same length so as far as lift springs they should interchange, if you need to know for sure i have a stock 72 K10 and K20 in the back yard and i could measure and count leafs, i hinkni already did and they were same length and width. Rear u bolts are obviously different. |

I think the 2.5 lift is too high for me. Looks like my truck has a sagged out spring with block. Id like the keep the same height. May take my springs and blocks in to have a spring made for that height.

IIRC the factory front springs have a negative arch like that. Blocks in the front - no bueno
What's in the rear?

Do not use block in the front.
Very dangerous.... If you upgraded to a 2.5" lift and removed the blocks you would be close to where you are now. You can adjust slightly with shackle lengths... If you want a comfortable ride, look into Deaver springs. They aren't cheap but they can make custom build a spring pack to make it ride smooth... Multiple thin springs give the softer ride... Talk to Offroad Design as well... https://www.offroaddesign.com/ord-li...t-springs.html |

2" Tuff Country EZ Ride has worked well for me. No rougher than stock springs, in my opinion.

Re: Help with 2.5 lift for 1972 K20 Suburban 3/4 4x4
Ended up going to Rightway spring in Tacoma. They had a 3 pack leaf spring in stock. Got them bolted in but, engine is still out so I have not driven it yet. So far, their 3 spring pack spring sits at very close to the same height I had before with a 1” block and sagged out old spring. I was very happy with them and the springs are made in the USA. Bought new bushing and u bolts from them as well. Was nice to have a local place to go to.

Here is a picture after I got the driver side in. Also grabbed a Redhead steering box. Its nice having them local as well. Ive used their boxes in 3 other vehicles and have been very happy with them.

So what did you tell Rightway you were looking for, stock height, 72 K20 burb?
They also had the Redhead steering boxes? And if you don't mind could you tell me what you walked away with all this stuff for money wise? You can shoot me a PM or a text if you don't want it out there for some reason … thanks
