NOS boy is back....
It looks like our Ebay buddy jkl6520 still hasn't changed his scam advertising. He listed his "73 to 78 chevy truck dash pad gmc like NOS mint LOOK" again. It's the one that he later says "This is a used dash it is very clean! This dash is in great shape with a very small crack" Notice how he added the word like in his description. He is soooo smooth.
Since y'al were so "suttle" about his last ad, I decided to go a different route. Here's my email- Dear jkl6520, I am interested in your dash pad but your ad is confusing. Is it new or used? It says it's new, but later says it's used. Is this a mistake? Thanks, N2TRUX Lets see what his response is.... :p Last edited by N2TRUX; 06-08-2004 at 11:50 PM. |

1969 chevrolet Impala dash pad caprice NOS wow MINT 69
this is out of a 69 caprice but is the same as impala. This dash is black and it is amost perfect exept there is a little crack in the far corner but it will be hard to notice once in the car! This dash is used but very nice! That is the only problem other then that it is mint! Are you looking for any other car parts go to my site WWW.Findyourcarsparts.com |

I e-mailed him on his first attempt, and was very nice about it. The rest of you must have been mean. The guy has to be about ready to snap.

For another 100 bucks I can get a brand new virgin one, without the crack. Shipping is a bit high at $40, even for oversize package. Sent a upper fill panel which is just as long and weight across the country via FedEx for $28.
Think the guy stretches the truth to get you to bite.

You should really quit putting misleading info in your ads. Then people wouldn't have to email you for the truth..... Have a great day, Ken M. |

I think our boy Jesse is a bit angry at me-
Quote:
Jesse, I gather from your illiterate ramblings that you are upset and offended that I have questioned your integrity. You will have to excuse my ignorance, but I find it hard to comprehend how you can justify your blatant attempts to mislead buyers. You offer parts that are titled as NOS and Mint, and they are NOT either. NOS means "new" and Mint means in "perfect" condition. The dash pad is used and has a crack, so it is obvious that your title is meant to misrepresent your item. That is probably illegal, and most certainly immoral. Possibly in the future you will consider advertising in a honest manner and prevent any confusion from potential buyers. Have a nice day, Ken M. N2TRUX |

Report the dude to E-bay! There is no need to respond like that.
I find it funny he rips you for not reading the description. What is it..NOS like the title says, or used like the description says. There is a no win situation, I guess the interested buyers are supposed to read his mind. Someone should send this guy the link to this thread.

There are some bad apples on eBay, but the majority of the sellers are actually honest. Many times you can score a rare find for, literally, pocket change. So, don't let the actions of a few influence your opinion of everyone on eBay. =)

Baralheia is right. There are bad apples in every walk of life. Ebay is no exception but I will say that considering how easy it would be to scam people, im surprised it doesnt happen more often. Most of the people on ebay are honest, most of the time. What more can you ask for? Ive been scammed by (used) car dealerships more times than I have been scammed on ebay, and Im right there looking at the item in person.. Ebay rocks and Ive gotten a lottttt of good stuff off ebay.
