I also took scotch brite to all the bright work to make it look duller. More like brushed aluminum than chrome or polished stainless. Bought a cheap rear bumper on sale and even though i have to do it to get the look I am after, it is difficult to roughen up a chrome surface. Just kinda goes against the grain if you know what I mean.

If anyone else considers doing this. WD40 with the abrasive pad makes the going easier.
