Original style floor mats

What was the original style mats used in our trucks ?

That's what I'd like to know too. Mine is a 67 C10. I'm thinking the rubber ones are originally the stock ones ?

I'd like to see a good picture of a nice mat. Someone needs to make these. The best I've done is find squarebody ones. Now those are hard to find in good shape. The rare nice ones are too much $$$ for not being correct.

Great question. I’d like to see some originals as well. Having said that - my go-mat for original looking rubber mats has normally been Impala Bob’s 65-66 Imp mats. Generally come in colors we truck folk might need and are relatively plain Jane. I tend to avoid Yosemite Sam mats, although quite period correct and cool in their own right!

These are also what I run. Here is a pic of them in black. Just make sure you get the full size ones and not Camaro. I believe these were a universal floor mat used back in the day. They used to have cut lines molded in the back to cut them.

This is a saddle one I have that’s almost perfect. Still soft. I also have a blue one that is decent but hard and cracking. I had a green one that was in pieces too.

A pic in the sunshine and a clean up would have been better. I remember seeing a thread here before and I meant to post a pic. Someone described a green one they seen as a kid riding in the middle. Must be a few years old now.



They are not straight along the bottom laying flat. The tunnel forms them they do end up flat along bottom edge.

Gonna jump in on this thread since I'm looking too...

Does anyone have any input/opinion on the OER Bowtie mats?

I have a set (of the same brand) in my '67 Camaro and I thought they were of great quality.
Yet I'm seeing very polarizing reviews on these mats. Some reviews saying nice and heavy, good quality where others say the are thin and don't stay in place and not happy with them.

They aren't cheap, that's for sure...

I believe those are the same mats mentioned in posts 4&5 above, I bought mine at Impala Bob's - as Trevor mentioned, the full size Impala/Bel Air/Biscayne mats are a better size for our trucks. They are indeed heavy, good mats - have purchased several sets over the years. You're right, they have gotten a little more pricey... I think all the sets I ever bought were always $99. I'm not sure Impala Bob's sells "just" the fronts anymore - with a quick search I could only find the 4 piece set. But I DID notice they now have something close to a dark olive...

Thanks Jocko, I overlooked the bowtie's on the mats in post #6. I found them in Fawn (Tamraz's on Ebay) so went for them.
