Help! What is this?
Hi All, I removed this "rubber socket," (aged, brittle & falling apart) from my '72 Chevy K20 and need to replace it but I can't remember where it goes? I took a picture of the dime to show size comparison. Can Anyone Help Me Please?

Re: Help! What is this?
It looks like the bushing that fits over the end of the column shift lever, the end with the ball. I don’t think you will be able to find a replacement, but someone may be reproducing them.

STOVEBOLT would be correct about identification. Classic parts has them. https://www.classicparts.com/1967-74...ctinfo/91-108/ Be sure and warm it up before trying to install it. I used my wife's old hair dryer. Does anyone even use those any more???? LockDoc

Re: Help! What is this?
Those small parts can be shipped in an envelope for a fraction of the cost of a package. It's a shame they aren't looking out for their customers in that way
