Can any one tell me about these??

When I took the passenger door panel off my truck back in 2015, these (I presume) factory rubber doughnuts on the window crank shaft and door handle shaft between the door and the panel to seal the weather out. I’ve not seen them anywhere else, Are they reproduced? I believe that could have been the first time the panel ever came off but obviously I don’t know for sure. Anyone have ideas here?

Foam weather / draft seals/ spacer used on window crank and door handle shafts .Not only work to prevent drafts thru door but also act as a spacer to keep door panel spaced away from interior panel so there are no gaps thus keeping the handle shafts hidden , Earlier models just used a steel spring to keep the inner door panel tight against the inner handle bezels .

Product description

60-81 (all GM Models) 64-72 GM A-body Chevelle, GTO, 442, GS, 67-77 F-body Camaro / Firebird, 68-74 X body, Nova, Window regulator door panel foam washers. 6 pc set. These are the foam washers that go between the door panel and the window / door crank. This air seal prevents outside air flow to the passenger compartment. and keep the door panel off the regulator making it the proper distance when the regulator handle is installed so the door panel is snug against the handle with no gap. These are often dry rotted, cracked or missing. The car uses 2 of them at the door latches and 4 , one at each window crank, for a total of 6 on each 2 door car. This is a must for a correct restoration. These are the correct washers that go between the door panel back and window regulator. They are used to seal and push the door panel sung to the handle. With out these the door panel can be loose or the gap between the handle and door panel will be large. Most people done even realize that these are on every original car.

Re: Can any one tell me about these??

Last I looked these weren’t reproduced and I had to use old examples. Felt like reusing unwashed underwear.

Re: Can any one tell me about these??

Thanks guys. I totally get the crusty undies... as you can see the ones I’ve got are pretty dry rotted. I’ll also need a set for the drivers door. I wonder if enough of us got together maybe we could get Wes or GMC Paul to reproduce these? I know Wes has been able to put together some exception rubber parts.

Re: Can any one tell me about these??

Can you give me the dimensions on those foam donuts?

Foam Pipe insulation at Home Depot, 1/2" Inside diameter,

Slice them up, make your own..
