Air Bags

I am thinking about going the air bag route instead of springs. Not for the ability to air it out but for ride quality. No compressor maybe not even a tank. Just fill them up to best ride height and stay there. Is their anybody running this or is it not feasible. How much should it cost. Is it worth it for the ride quality. What are the best bags and where is the best place to buy them. I already have all the items for a spring and spindle drop. I just want the best ride available

air bags

I am looking into doing the same thing to my '68 chevy. Air Ride Technologies has what I've found to be the best setup. You can check out there products at www.airride.com You can run a bag setup with no compressor and no tank and manually fill the bags, but it can become a pain if you change stances for shows, etc. Hope this helps you out.

IMO you should atleast keep an air tank in the truck with air just incase. What I would do is get a tank, small electric compressor and some paddle switches(manual valves) and run that. You don't wanna be stranded in the middle of nowhere because you had a line/fitting leak and have no back up air.
