WTH Was I thinking
Snagged a 63 LWB this weekend,Truck is pretty decent shape front fenders were rusted up but everywhere else seems solid. A crease above the drvs. rear wheel is the only bad dent.Has had a heart transplant (350) at 1 time oil looks good and the rad was holding a-freeze. Has the granny 4 speed seems to shift into all gears.Kinda cold here so will get to it eventually,no real plans as of now just get it running and go from there. I'll be watching from the cheap seats and asking some really stupid ?? so bear with me No room in the garage so outside we sit

Love it, especially the door mirrors. Will be looking forward to your progress on it

Good looking truck...I think the patina would look great under some clear coat!

Re: WTH Was I thinking
That will be a fun build no matter what direction you decide. My favorite year of truck. I will be watching and since I am still rebuilding my 63 maybe I will have an answer or two to help.

Re: WTH Was I thinking
That looks like a pretty decent truck. You didn't throw away the original fenders did you?

Re: WTH Was I thinking
No they in the back of truck , rusted from top to bottom at the normal spot was hoping to just patch but no patches that big. Which was isolated because hardly any rust on the cowl or door area

Re: WTH Was I thinking
I had a ton of mud/dirt packed into the rear fender brace on my truck. There's a good chance that's why they rusted out like that

Re: WTH Was I thinking
That's good. I would highly recommend repairing those originals. The new aftermarket fenders are not very good. There is another recent thread about replacement body parts.

Re: WTH Was I thinking
I saw that thread ,not what I was wanting to hear on the repop stuff but I have used them before so looks like no change in quality.
