Dropping steering column to access turn signal switch
So, I’ve already undone the 4 bolts on the bottom plate, that holds the steering wheel up and removed the parking brake cable but this only buys me an inch of working room.
Before I go and unbolt and detach everything under the sun, is there some particular items that need to be undone so I can get access to that one Phillips head bolt holding the turn signal switch in place? The placement of this switch so frustrating. 1960 GMC 1000 series, 3 on the tree. Thanks for any pointers. - Scott |

Re: Dropping steering column to access turn signal switch
Try loosening the clamp on the engine side of the firewall. That might give you enough room to drop it down some more
