Re: Carpet chioces

I'd want to think that the loop style will go a lot longer before it starts to show it's wear. Other than that it is what you or your significant other likes.

71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant.
77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: Carpet chioces

I have the loop 601 carpet in my 51. To me it looks right in a classic.

My only regret is that I didn’t see on a heel pad. I already have a wear spot near my gas pedal.

Re: Carpet chioces

I like the loop but looking at your build I think the ultra cut pile looks best.

get a heel pad or matching mats!

Re: Carpet chioces

The gals love the feel of plush carpet on their bare feet. It's still what looks best with the total build though.

Re: Carpet chioces

I used 80/20 loop, IMHO it’s more period correct

Re: Carpet chioces

Nice looking truck!! I prefer the German square weave carpets, a little pricier than conventional but looks awesome and wears great.

Re: Carpet chioces

I agree with Carbuff. I always use German square (or box) weave. It's about $100.00 per yrd. I used some in my 48 and I'm planning on this color for my Suburban.

Most upholstery guys can get it. I ordered my own one from this company. Their pricing at that time (several yrs ago) was better than most.

Also Miami corp is a source

Re: Carpet chioces

NO not house carpet, this is used on high-end European autos etc. What youngrodder stated: Any upholsterer/upholstery shop should have access to it or order online.
