Nice, does that location allow you to aim the mirrors to where they need to be? Love the truck.

Re: Best Location for External Mirrors

Thanks. I can see fine out of both sides fine. But truthfully, I find myself looking out the corner windows more than the mirrors.

I think this is a good idea for a supplement and I'm going to look into it for my truck. A camera placed in the center of the cab and a display in the center of the windshield above the rear view would be great. Although in many states it's interpreted as illegal to have screens or displays that operate when the vehicle is on the road so check your local laws and check with law enforcement.

It's also possible to use the same technology as used in many passenger buses and motor homes by sticking a wide angle fFresnel viewer on the rear glass for use with the rear view mirror. https://www.campingworld.com/wide-an...-14-69257.html

I use in interior rear view and a peep mirror on the LH side of my 57. There's nothing on the right. A RH peep mirror would be too hard to see and the RH door mounted mirror would look silly with the LH peep. I had a stick on convex mirror on the peep for years but I didn't like it. I keep a "rubber neck" available for changing lanes.

The inside rear view mirror on the new C8 Corvette is a video display connected to the rear view camera (or you can have the inside mirror set up as just a regular mirror), so apparently it is not illegal to have a camera display mounted on the windshield as rear view mirror. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AMfaDSn7AM

Interesting. I didn't know that.

States can be very slow in keeping up with Federal law. For many years many cars including OEM Corvettes were too low according to NH law. NH eventually rewrote the law.

I used to do that but age has reduced neck rotation from 180 to about 70 degrees. I think corner windows were the results of complaints and accidents.
