My GMC trucks
Here are some photos of my GMC trucks. One is a 1971 short fleet, original 350 engine, 700R4, factory a/c and heat with 18" and 20" Coys. Originally sold in Wichita Falls, Tx.
The other is a 1967 short fleet, big rear window, 292 six with 4 speed. Was bought from the original owner and came from a New Mexico indian reservation. |

Re: My GMC trucks
Two very nice trucks! It's funny because I have always preferred the 67/68 front end, but your 71' really appeals to me.

Re: My GMC trucks
Hey guys. Thanks for the compliments. The 71 is painted colonial cream and gets alot of comments on the color combination.

Re: My GMC trucks
Love that 71. The black really sets off the colonial cream color. I'm just starting on a 71 GMC stepside so it's good to see possible color combinations.

Re: My GMC trucks
Did you get the 1967 at that big pawn lot on the east side of the highway a few miles north of Gallup? If so, I'd like to chat.

Re: My GMC trucks
Not sure about how much the 71 was dropped as I bought it like this. The front has dropped spindles and lowering springs. The frame was stepped and the rear has an axle flip and a couple of the leafs removed. Front is too close to bump stops. Plan to raise it up a little.

Re: My GMC trucks
Hi again, been a long time since we meet at your place.
I sold the step-side but was a great little truck as a daily driver. Had to replace the engine shortly after I brought it home, found a complete 6 cyl that came out from a Nova locally here in town. Picked up a 1972 GMC in 2016 instead, that I enjoy. Hope you are doing OK and still piddle with all the nice trucks. |

Another great find. Chevy this time. How's that '67? Do you still have it?
