Heater box help
Is it possible to remove the blend door from the heater box. My door gasket is in bad shape and I have another from a damaged box I would like to swap it with. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Heater box help
If it is anything like my 69 Camaro. You have to remove the box, and drill out the spot welds to install the new gasket.

This thread has a bunch of info: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=460942
One of the postings says the blend door rod can be removed. Guessing once that is out, the door itself will come free. But I didn't go that far during my heater core replacement and repairing around a broken white plastic piece. |
