Picture of cracks in block, advice
Picture attached.
Not sure if they’re all the way through or not the builder didn’t say but is said if it was him he would get a new long block but I want my original if possible. 87 tbi 350 with 68k miles. Weld with nickel rod or belzona or get a new block? Thanks Posted via Mobile Device Last edited by weider1717; 02-11-2021 at 11:49 PM. |

Get a new block, cheaper than having it welded and no worries. Looks like a possible freeze crack

The number of cracked blocks is going to be shocking here in Texas, between boats and cars and the first time EVER for sub zero temps.

I agree, either get a new block or get a GM crate engine. I have had great luck with them, especially if you are doing stock or near stock applications.
