3/4 ton, 6 ft bed?
I would like to know if GM ever made a short wheel base, 3/4 ton square body, fleet side pickup. I’m talking one with a 6 foot bed.

Thanks, didn’t think so, but never hurts to ask the question.

Seems like dodge made some crew cab short beds back in the 1960s (when it wasn't cool).

Re: 3/4 ton, 6 ft bed?
I have never ran across an older Dodge or ferd 3/4 ton with short bed. All my experience with the Dodges were in the military and they all had the 8 ft beds. Just didn't pay attention to the Ferds much, but pretty sure they did not.

Re: 3/4 ton, 6 ft bed?
Just for kicks, here's a 1/2 ton short bed that was converted to 3/4 ton. Was for sale a while back online and I saved the picture. Looks to be a nice clean build.

IH is the only manufacturer I know of that made a 3/4t short bed...but they were doing it in the 50s..

Re: 3/4 ton, 6 ft bed?
I just picked up an original '81 Dodge crew cab short bed 3/4 ton last week. Was originally an Air Force truck, then Forestry Service for a few years. Can't get pics to load. As far as I know GM and Ford never made a 3/4 ton short bed until the late '90s and then only with extended/crew cabs.

Re: 3/4 ton, 6 ft bed?
We used to burn up the Dodge 3/4-ton short box crew cab trucks while on SAC Alert - that was the 1980's so I know they made them then. Chevy was still all long boxes for the crew cabs.
