Where to buy quality trim? Install?
Looking to possibly two tone my 1972 Chevrolet SB build but regardless of whether I two tone or go with white roof and all blue I think I still will want at least lower trim.
Question: Who has best quality trim that fastens like factory? With Medium blue Wood grain or black center? Install how many holes will have to be drilled? I see on Brothers video he starts with doors and works from there, any secrets to help the process? Anyone make a paper template for drilling holes? Thanks in advance |

I have not used any but if the trim sold by Mar K in Oklahoma fits as well as their bed parts I’d say give them a look.

Re: Where to buy quality trim? Install?
Mar K is the best. Here is a tip, call brothers and confirm that the trim they sell still comes from Mar K. Then wait for a 20% sale usually happens around a holiday. When I bought mine 8 years ago this is what I did. Your going to be spending over a thousand dollars, for both upper and lower trim. With the holiday discount code it was cheaper then buying directly from Mar K, and everything was just drop shipped from Mar K to my house. As for the hole locations they are called out in the assembly manual. Do a search on the site. Should be a PDF out there.

You can also get it from Summit. Save on shipping that way. If you are military or a retiree, Summit offers military discount. But as others have said. MAR-K Is the way to go. To get a complete set upper and lower long bed was like $160.

Brothers will pull a bait and switch on you. Several years back I called them to confirm I would be getting Mar-K trim. They assured me I would. I didn’t. Got a refund and bought direct. Just a heads up.

Re: Where to buy quality trim? Install?
Seems like Mar-k it will be!
I know ts personal preference but whats peoples thoughts on paint scheme? I origionally thinking white roof and rest blue with or woithout upper and lower trim? Then I have started to consider white roof blue/white/blue? The ladder of two options above would give me option after time if needed would allow me for repainting lower blue if stone chips occured. Thanks in advance |

This is when I first got it. The new trim is still waiting to be installed.

Re: Where to buy quality trim? Install?
Page seven this thread shows where to drill, and where not to as well The measurements are good but consider it a guide for a dry run. The lower sides are real easy, the moldings position 4/10" below the body line. Side moldings take a hole on each end with 3M tape clips in-between, though the upper fender moldings take a hole for each clip.
Depends on the clips you get too. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=730025&page=7
