Windshield wiper splines
I am missing the piece on my windshield wiper transmission that has the splines for the wiper arm. does anyone know of a replacement without having to get the whole transmission linkage kit. I found this, Windshield Wiper Knurl From 1/4" to 1/2" at Yogis street rod shop. That looks like what I need but hard to tell if it would work. Thanks.

Re: Windshield wiper splines
I'm not sure on that one, I have the cable operated Specialty power windows wiper setup but never paid attention to the knurls. I'm not sure if they fit stock linkage/shafts or not.
I've got a set of linkage that I pulled off for someone who never got back to me if push comes to shove.

He closed up and retired. I think everything he had is gone, he sold everything when he closed.

Re: Windshield wiper splines
You can try one of these 2 places (both in Portland) but they may not put much effort into a small part.
Old Car Parts (503) 771-9416 They used to have a lot of AD truck parts but I haven't been there in years. Dan's Classics (503) 234-6674 I thought this closed when Dan retired but it's still open. Dan used to keep tons of used parts in stock, I'm not sure about the new owners.

Re: Windshield wiper splines
From Personal experience Old car parts in Portland is more expensive than buying new.
I found the pair I said I have. The knurls look good.

Re: Windshield wiper splines
Nice pictures!
I have found that a number of the truck parts also fit Corvettes. Here's an ebay auction for 1953-62 Vette wiper knurls. From what I can see, as long as the OD of the stud fits inside the knurl then the knurl should work. Personally I might consider drilling partway into the stud so the setscrew has a nice surface to seat in. Maybe these parts are the same as what you've already located so you can get them for less? https://www.ebay.com/itm/37234047251...6&toolid=10001 |

Re: Windshield wiper splines
To be honest, If I manage to be able to afford a fountain pop after paying for the postage and tape for what I quoted him total I'll be a happy camper.
I took them off to sell to some guy on Facebook a few months ago and they never got back to me. Truth be known, If I cleared out the three sheds I have stuff in, I could probably find two or three more pairs of them.

Check your pm for the tracking number.
After finding out that my long skinny box up on the shelf was a short skinny box with an led off road light in it that I have been wandering where it went I had to make a box and am more than a bit box making challenged.

I was only referring to the item mentioned in the original post. I think it's good when folks on the forum are willing to offer spare parts for a fair price. It's frustrating when the only parts you can find are overpriced and low quality reproductions. |

Meanwhile even after the postage for priority mail and a roll of tape at ACE hardware I can fill my Bubba mug a few times and he should be installing the wiper pieces.
