Updated Pics of My Truck
Got a couple new pics of my truck last weekend. With some help from Huck and lots of time and patience from my honey (Jamie72) we finally got the doors fitting decent on the purple beast. Motor runs strong and got to drive it around the yard. We was hoping to have it ready to go to the Super Chevy Show but that ain't happenin'...LOL. You just gotta love these trucks!
Just a tad bit taller than Jamie's blazer... gettin there... oohh so that's where you put the gas in it... Will post more pics after the super chevy show this weekend. Have fun everyone and have a safe trip. BTW... if anyone needs any help while passing thru Southeastern Indiana on there way to the show please give us a call and we will try and help you out. 812-839-3358 Renee & Jamie

Thanks, I love the color too.. I think I spent longer deciding what color to paint it than anything else we have done too it. I didn't want to paint it some color that everyone else has, I wanted it a bit different, but it has been a pain to shoot the metallic paint.

Very cool color, Vickie has changed her mind about her truck and wants to paint it blue rather than yellow, I'll have to show her your truck. Maybe I can convince her that dark purple works well on these trucks.

Ron... Purple stands out better in the snow...LOL. Good luck on your projects!
krue.. just 8 inches, all suspension gord...not too worried about needing a step ladder to get in it... more worried about fallin out of it. Putting the 72 grill in it. juju..yeah fun things... like get the other fender put on and lined up, getting the hood to fit just right...running over a few ricers...but maybe we can get it together for the big 4 wheel drive jamboree that indy has in the fall!!!

Where in Indiana are you? I live in FL now but grew up in Evansville, which is also where my 47 panel truck resides. I will be coming back to vist 1st week of Aug for the Street Rod nationals in Louisville otherwise I would be going to the Indy show.

That is really looking great. Can you do me a favor and measure from the ground to the top of the rocker line where the door opening is.

Yukon Jack: will try and get that measurement for you.
Kevin...not ready yet to sell it back to ya..lol. I can't wait to take a ride in it either...drivin around the yard in half a truck aint as much fun as cruisin town on Saturday night. Thanks Chevelle Chick! Thanks also to smokekiki & FrenchBlue72! Timspeed.. I like to call it purple...don't listen to Jamie "it's blue"..lol Blue85.. the side marker light filler is not available as a kit as far as I know, Jamie has had to fabricate and modify different things to make it work, the first truck I remember seeing with it was TennMan's truck and I think if you do a search on the board there are instructions on how to do the side marker light filler.
