Gas Sending Unit Tubes- 2 Questions
My Gas sending unit has quit on me. The gauge goes up when disconnected and drops to E when connected. A float perhaps? In the event I need to change the entire unit I noticed that my '69 has a two-tube unit on it looks like either a vent or some kind of return. I though that was only on the '72? Will it make a difference if I use the two tube as it is now or should it be a single line setup?
Thanks.

Re: Gas Sending Unit Tubes- 2 Questions
One line should connect to the charcoal canister behind the battery/passenger side fender area. Definitely replacement with same type.

Re: Gas Sending Unit Tubes- 2 Questions
The 72 had the charcoal cannister. Some models had a vent tube that went up in a loop & down through the floor. Some models, particularly A/C models, had a return hose to the fuel pump. Like Hornet said. Get the right one for your model.

Okay, got under there and here's the rest of the story (see photo) the extra line is just blocked off. Possibly a previous owner was anticipating a return line for a future fuel injection setup?
