Re: Uni Steer Rack N Pinion

I would send it back to Uni Steer and get your money back, in my opinion. I had one of their systems on my 66 Nova a few years back and I did not like it at all. I had a tighter turning radius with the original steering than I did the Uni Steer rack. I asked several questions, got zero answers. Long story short, I regretted buying it. Sounds like nothing has changed with them to me. Again, just my opinion. Hopefully, someone else has had better luck with them than I did.

Man, that sucks. I feel bad for you. The aftermarket stuff is hit and miss. Some of it is great, and some of it is just plain crap. Good ideas, but poorly engineered.

I would contact Rob at No Limit and see what he has to say. Even though you went with Unisteer and not his kit I'd bet he can point you towards a solution.

Re: Uni Steer Rack N Pinion

the guys that lay frame just drill out the spindle and use a heim joint in place of the tie rod end.
