Re: Rear Sliding Window
Unless I’ve been out of the loop for a while, $200 is a bit pricey.
I bought an Aluminum frame/no tint slider from a board member for $35 about 10 years ago, and I bought a Black frame/Tinted glass one, from a Pull a Part four years ago for $35. But now I’m seeing outrageous prices on stuff. The stainless trim is really pretty East to put in but just make sure you have the right gasket. I don’t even know what parts a going for now |

Re: Rear Sliding Window
I did look through the parts forum searching for past sales, it is well above all others I seen but from the ones I located they are from some time ago. But that doesn't help if you can't find one for those prices!
I have a Cheyenne, so I have the SS Trim already (and know I need the SS Trim seal). If anything, the SS Trim with this window would provide spares if my get messed up when pulling it off. If it comes off without damage, then I could sell that trim here. The bigger issue is I have no desire to drive 10 hours round trip for it!

Re: Rear Sliding Window
To respond to the “what do you think” part of the post.
As I said, I’ve got one of each kind of window (Aluminum trim/clear glass, And Black trim/dark glass) I mocked up both of them on my truck before install an went with the Aluminum color frame one. To me, It just looks better with the white roof and olive body. I did put cling tint on it to cut down the sun rays, but find that the obscured vision through it is not to my liking. As soon as I can start parking inside my workshop I’m going to peel it off so it’s clear again. I do like the air flow in the summertime, as I don’t have A/C. |
