Question 1986 silverado "convenience center"

I have been redoing my '86 2wd C10 (ls update and DD gauges) in researching wiring I have come across in the diagram what is called the "convenience center"? Does anyone know or is familiar with what this is and the purpose of it?

thanks!

the convenience center is the block that is right above the gas pedal. It holds the chime box, horn relay and one of the flashers. I think it puts those things in one place.

hey Jay! glad to hear from you. thanks for the response. I noticed that it has a pnk/blk wire for "power"... I guess that it is needed? I was just looking at all the wiring since I was under there doing the Dakota Dig. brain box wires....

yes, it is needed. Pink/Black are usually for keyed power and would be needed for the items in the convenience center.
