55 first series data plate??
For thee 55 first series folks did these trucks have a data plate on them like cars did?
Would this be a trim code tag or ?? Or is this a tag off a Hydramatic transmission from that year?

That looks more Mopar than any tag I ever saw on a GM. I don't believe there was a data tag in 55 1st series and the hydra-matic tag was an oval on the trans and an oblong serial number only tag on the bellhousing.

I didn't even think Mopar. I was pretty sure that AD trucks never had data plates at all and wasn't sure what the early hydromatics had but did find one similar to what you described on Ebay (tag).
