depends on what you are wanting, to lay frame or to haul heavier loads?

To 'lay frame' w/leafs, you'll need to get rid of the leafs & swap to a weld-on '4-bar' (or comparable 2-link) style system.

YES you can bag a truck with leaf springs and lay frame! Depending on what size rims and tires you go with, it is possible. Why anyone would decide to go this route though is beyond me. With a flip kit, removed leafs, shackle & hanger kit (or relocated shackles & hangers), and lowering blocks to get the exact height required, it can (has) been done. By the time all that is said and done and paid for, you are way better off to go with a link suspension. No matter how you lower a truck that low, you have to change your pinion angle, so if you kept your leafs, you would have to remove and relocate the axle tube spring perches. Keep in mind you would also have to install at least a 6.5" step notch in the frame, and your ride quality wouldn't be nearly as good as with link.
