RollBar Question
I found a company to make a rollbar. I don't really want anything more that a 4 point bar similar to the SmittyBilt bars that are no longer available. Does anyone have plans, dimensions, etc... that they used or any suggestions. I'm about to get back to work and I'd like the have all of the fitting done before paint. Thanks.

You can still find the SmittyBilt bars at some shops (left over stock.)

Pardon my ignorance, but who is SW? I'm looking for one myself.

On the S & W website they only list an 8 point cage. I was really looking for a simple 4-point. I'm going to check on getting one made like is on the blazer below, but without the front bar and able to fit under a soft-top & hard-top. I don't know whose blazer this is, but I like the roll bar.

I just purchased one. When I get it installed, I'll post pictures of the nitty gritty details! It won't be here until next week and I see installing it in a few weeks.

Thanks Earl, but I-95 is a bit far. I saw your post on the parts board, but that is the wrong side of N.C. for me. I've been to ECU while I was coaching football. I'll be waiting for the nitty gritty from bluegoose, my first plan on finding a welder didn't work out and I'm thinking it would be easier and cheaper to buy a pre-made one. Has anybody ever delt with sterling Manufacturing out of Florida? a 4x4 store suggested trying them.

My cage is an SW and I like it alot I have thier full blazer cage that goes all the way behinde the passanger seat and I love it. I still have to finnish the front tobes that run up the door pillers Im going to rebend them so I have room to unbolt the top.

So you have a 10 point cage? That's what I'm thinking about, but I may start with an 8 point, and add later. It fits under the hard top with no problems?

That's why I'm thinking about going with the 8 point. I'll use my race care fab s'purience, to figure out forward from there, and I got a muffler guy in town who can do the bending for me. Thanks.

Roll Bar
I Agree With Eddie.....buy A S&w Racing Cage And Keep The Extra Bars.....you Might Want Them. You Can't Beat Their Prices And The Quality Is Good. S/h Is Quick. I Bought A S&w 10 Pt. Cage And Added Another 10 Pts. And It Is Awesome . You Never Know When Those Extra Bars Will Come In Handy Saving Your Head.

Thanks Earl, but I had one made earlier this summer. I finally decided to just get it done. Here's a pic.
