New member from South Alabama.

Thanks for the add!

After wanting a square for a while I picked up an 84 Silverado last May for a song. Filthy and completely ruined by meth heads, but after months of hand-scraping spray paint and some elbow grease she is coming along nicely. Plan on bagging it during/after this cruising season, since I just grabbed an 84 Sierra Classic to keep close to stock I figured I may as well get weird with this one.

Welcome! That's quite a transformation on the paint. Lots of patience there

Thanks, three months of hand scraping with a flat razor, no chemicals. Then about 16 hours of wet sanding what was left of the factory Apple Red body stripe. I'll have to start a build thread as I start putting it on bags, I have tons of pics.

Yeah, that's a lot of work, but it definitely paid off. Pop those dents out of the door, and it would look even better

I can get to them from the inside and worked them out a little. Tried some suction cups on the outside as well. With it creasing that hard body line I am going to have some else do it so I don't make it worse. More pending things like exhaust for now though.

Re: New member from South Alabama.

I'd probably do the same, especially when wanting to save the paint.
