I think the input shaft changed in 77. I ended up going crossover steering (2WD box) but I think I just shopped Rock Auto for a flare fitting box with the faster ratio. It was an earlier 67-76 type box and it took a Lares 201 rag joint. The spline description on their site is messed up and I ordered the wrong one first, then called Lares and talked with a really nice guy who told me to ignore what they say and order a 201.
