Are you seeing the prices at Barrett Jackson?
I'm at the auction and I really like some of the blazers and Jimmy's here but dang, the prices are up $30-50k from 2019. Insane numbers!

It’s not just B-J. Take a look at the results from mecum Kissimmee a couple weeks back. My dad went down for a couple days and said it was insane to see the prices on everything.

Re: Are you seeing the prices at Barrett Jackson?
It's not just the auctions. Everyone thinks they have a $100k truck.

Re: Are you seeing the prices at Barrett Jackson?
The good thing about it is that it makes it easier for me to drop a few hundred dollars on my Blazer here and there. I know I can always get my money out of it and my wife thinks it's worth it.
The bad thing is that every guy who has a rusted pile of junk sitting in his yard thinks it's worth $10k.

Re: Are you seeing the prices at Barrett Jackson?
The kicker is that it trickles down. The $3500 rolling pile of crap is now a $5500 rolling pile of crap.
Mine more than likely could not be replaced for $15K but I was offered $17K for it recently and this guy just flips old cars so I have to think he was thinking it could go for more. I can't see it but B/J and Meecum keep the price going north. LOL Scott |

Re: Are you seeing the prices at Barrett Jackson?
Problem is people sit at home watching Barrett Jackson and see @HogieShine's Blazer go across the stage for 440k bought by a Kardashian for Travis Barker and get all excited their truck has to be worth at least a quarter of that value.
Never realizing they had 480k in the build complete with a roadster shop chassis, delmo LS3 with Magnuson supercharger and all the fixings. Hogan's other truck sold on BAT for 165k on 2.0 fox shocks, leaf springs on a stock frame and an LS 6.0. The attention to detail and finish work is insane but paying 165k for a truck using suspension technology from the 18th century designed for horse buggies is crazy to me. This is done for publicity - all made for TV/Internet bull****. I was asked to be a stand in for my neighbor's TV show - Iron Resurrection. The customer didnt want to appear on camera so they asked me to play the customer. I know how long it took to build the Season 4 67 C10, all the of high end dudes who worked on it, the build cost was and what it sold for at Barrett Jackson - it was a loss. The same people that think their stock small block hacked blazer on leaf springs and SM465 is worth 50k are the same people that think shows like Gas Monkey build cars in 10 days and strippers like them. Now, I am not saying someone who doesn't know anything about cars with a hard drive full of 400 dollar bitcoin wont spend dumb money on a blazer because Kourtney Kardashian has one doesnt happen - because it will. But it happens at auctions like Barrett Jackson and on forums like BAT, not on Facebook Marketplace. My 2 cents take for what it is worth. |

Now I'm going to have to go watch that Iron Resurrection episode to put a face to the name... ....and for the record, if ANYONE ever walks up to me and my Blazer in the future and says "Wow, you've got a truck just like Kourtney Kardashian".... I'm going to lose my cool. -G

Re: Are you seeing the prices at Barrett Jackson?
That's the problem though, with the 38's and 2.5" steel fender flares it actually IS pretty wide.....

Re: Are you seeing the prices at Barrett Jackson?
I wouldn't worry about it. Kayne's kids will be driving those blazers before your's is finished.
All kidding aside, David turned me on to your IG. I am friends with Stephen as he is a regular listener to my podcast and turned David on it. I promised Stephen my crew crawler would be ready for Moab in Sept for FSI. Fab is done and ready to blow apart to paint. Quote:
