AN fittings and hose info
OK, i am not quite done with getting my truck going (wiring still left), but i finished routing my fuel and trans lines a few months ago and figured i would share how i ran my set up. it seems hard to find a detailed listing, so im going to try and put up the part numbers i have. i know EVERY truck isnt the same, but it should help!
truck is a 67 suburban, donor motor is 5.3 with a 4l60e trans, both from a 2002 tahoe. lets start up front for cooling, because the fittings will vary depending on the radiator. i used AN-6 for everything. the radiator i am using is a Spectra CU369. https://www.amazon.com/Spectra-Premi...78e72037b8bddf Radiator Fittings the 2 fittings that screw into the radiator SUM-220668B Fitting, Adapter, AN to Inverted Flare, Straight, Aluminum, Black Anodized, -6 AN, 1/2-20 in. Inverted Flare, Each (Mfr. #: SUM-220668B These are the fittings that get "crimped" to the an line RUS-610095 Fitting, Hose End, Full Flow, 45 Degree, -6 AN Hose to Female -6AN, Aluminum, Black, Each (Mfr. #: 610095) VPE-21906 Hose End, 90 Degree, -6 AN Female Thread, -6 AN Hose, Aluminum, Black, Each (Mfr. #: 21906) ----------------------------------------------- these 2 lines run from the radiator to the trans (i am not using an external trans cooler). off the transmission, you will need these 2 fittings (they come in a pair so only order 1) ICB-551114 Fittings, Transmission Line Adapters, Aluminum, Natural, -6 AN Male Threads, 1/4 in. NPS Male Threads, TH350, TH400, 700R4, 200-4R, 4L60E, 4L80E, Pair (Mfr. #: 551114) For the an line, you will need to "crimp" these 2 fittings (1 for each line) to mate to the trans fittings RUS-610095 Fitting, Hose End, Full Flow, 45 Degree, -6 AN Hose to Female -6AN, Aluminum, Black, Each (Mfr. #: 610095) ----------------------------------------------- For the lines, i went with the Evil Energy from amazon. heres a link and description, this is the same line i also used for the fuel lines EVIL ENERGY 6AN Fuel line Hose Braided Nylon Stainless Steel Oil Gas CPE 20FT Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XG8JRPQ...993D13Q0W1SPYS ----------------------------------------------- Now, on to the fuel setup. these fittings will obviously vary on what tank and sending unit you go with, and also if it returnless rail or not (mine is a return rail). i went with the most basic setup i can find that uses an in tank pump and baffled tank. Fuel Tank Spectra GM15C 25 gallon tank (87 blazer/suburban tank) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000C7QKIM...50BEXGF0VFNAAV Sending unit Dorman 692-056 Fuel Tank Sending Unit Compatible with Select Chevrolet / GMC Models https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CGGKU6...YWWJBCKYM41TQ3 Fuel Pump GM Genuine Parts EP381 Electric Fuel Pump Kit with Seals, Clamp, and Baffle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000C9SHOU...E2QYKNMJQ6487Z Fuel Filter I chose to go with the stock filter from the local auto parts store. Wix Fuel Filter Part # 33481 https://www.oreillyauto.com/detail/c...ix+33481&pos=0 And the clamp i used, which was a little big but it worked EVIL ENERGY 60mm Car Fuel Pump Fuel Filter Mounting Bracket https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YV3RJPW...N323R2RBSGQ1QV

Re: AN fittings and hose info
Now, onto the fittings i used. i will start up front at the rail. Remind you, this is completely stock.
the 2 rail fittings up front are 3/8" and a 5/16". i will do one at a time to make it easy to follow the lines. 1st line is the feed line (top line on the rail) this fitting gets adapted to the 3/8" feed line on the rail RUS-644123 Adapter Fitting (Mfr. #: 644123) This line will go all the way to the fuel filter. So, grab your an-6 line and attatch 2 of these fittings (1 on each end). one will screw to the rail, the other at the fuel filter. VPE-21006 Hose End, Straight, -6 AN Hose , -6 AN Female Thread, Aluminum, Black, Each (Mfr. #: 21006) ----------------------------------- Now, at the filter, there will be 2 adapter fittings (same fitting, one on each end), they are as follows.. EAR-AT991955ERL Fitting, Adapter, AN to Metric Threads, Straight, Aluminum, Black Anodized, -6 AN, 16mm x 1.5, Each (Mfr. #: AT991955ERL) ----------------------------------- From the filter, the line will go to your fuel sending unit. so you will make another line just like the one above with the same fittings with one on each end. VPE-21006 Hose End, Straight, -6 AN Hose , -6 AN Female Thread, Aluminum, Black, Each (Mfr. #: 21006) ----------------------------------- Once at the sending unit, you will need to cut the fitting ends off the sending unit to allow the tubing adapter fittings to slide over. this is the 3/8" feed line fitting VPE-16456 Fitting, Adapter, AN to Tubing, Straight, Aluminum, Black Anodized, -6 AN, 3/8 in., Each (Mfr. #: 16456) ----------------------------------- Now, thats it for the feed, so lets go back up to the front for the return line. the fitting that slips to the fuel rail for return line is as follows.. RUS-644113 Fitting, Push-On EFI, Straight, Male -6 AN, Female Quick-Connect, Threaded Cap, 5/16 in., Black Anodized, Each (Mfr. #: 644113) ----------------------------------- Now, you will make a line that runs from the return rail all the way to your tank, with the same fittings that were used for the feed line. this will screw into the rail, and at the sending unit. VPE-21006 Hose End, Straight, -6 AN Hose , -6 AN Female Thread, Aluminum, Black, Each (Mfr. #: 21006) At the sending unit, you will use the tubing adapter fitting so the return line can connect. this is the fitting for the 5/16" tube that the return line screws in.. VPE-16455 Fitting, Adapter, AN to Tubing, Straight, Aluminum, Black Anodized, -6 AN, 5/16 in., Each (Mfr. #: 16455) ----------------------------------- And thats it. i did have a line that was short, so i ordered a union to connect the 2, you may not run into this problem though. this is the coupler to attatch the 2 hoses together.. RUS-660353 Fitting, Coupler, Union, AN to AN, Straight, Aluminum, Black Anodized, -6 AN, -6 AN, Each (Mfr. #: 660353)

Re: AN fittings and hose info
sooooo, that pretty much sums up a basic way to run An-6 lines for fuel lines and trans lines. pay attention to how you will want to route your lines coming off the radiator, trans, and fuel tank. you can change up the angles there to better fit your needs. althoug 45 degree fittings off the trans is probably a must, as is the 90 and 45 off the radiator. i used straight tubing adapters for the tank and probably shouldve used 45 degree ones. but it depends on how you run your lines (i ran mine down the driver side)
this isnt an exact guide, but i hope it gets you started in the right direction with at least a gameplan. i was clueless coming up with these parts and read a ton.....it gets confusing. hope this helps!
